Opened in 2001, The Frist Art Museum hosts touring exhibitions from some of the most prestigious collections in the world, as well as award-winning shows organized in-house.

As a family-friendly museum, one of the most popular areas of the museum is the innovative Martin ArtQuest Gallery. The Martin ArtQuest Gallery is a colorful space alive with the sounds of learning through making art. With 30 interactive stations, activities abound for people of all ages. The Martin ArtQuest Gallery is free with museum admission for adults and is always free for youth 18 and under.

The Frist Art Museum is a nonprofit art-exhibition center dedicated to presenting the finest visual art from local, state and regional artists, as well as major U.S. and international exhibitions. The museum occupies Nashville’s former main post office building, a 124,400-square-foot facility with nearly 40,000 square feet of exhibition space. The art deco building was placed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1984.

The museum's exhibitions change every few months, so it's definitely worth a visit during each trip to Nashville!
