In the late 1700s, James Robertson led a group of pioneers across the frozen Cumberland river to a place called The Cedar Bluffs. These men built a fort called Nashborough, which would later become the city of Nashville. The log stockade was square in shape and covered about 2 acres, with 20 log cabins. Today's reconstructed site stands near the site of the original structure. Admission is FREE.
