Museum Campus
Chicago's Museum Campus is a great family area on the lakefront housing some of the city’s outstanding cultural institutions. Museum Campus is comprised of the Field Museum, the Shedd Aquarium, and the Adler Planetarium. You could easily spend several hours at each museum, so plan accordingly.

If you plan to visit multiple museums, you may want to consider purchasing a Chicago CityPASS or GO Chicago card. Both offer significant discounts on select Chicago museums and attractions. See highlight box below for more information.

In addition to Museum Campus, this tour highlights a wonderful lakeside park in the area, called Northerly Island. It also takes you to Soldier Field, home to the Chicago Bears (professional football team) and Chicago Fire (men's professional soccer team).

If you're hungry before or after exploring Museum Campus, Aurelio's Pizza (1212 S. Michigan Avenue, approximately 3 blocks west of The Field Museum on Roosevelt Road) is a great family-friendly destination. Aurelio's is a long-standing Chicago favorite with outstanding pizza and Italian fare.

Continuing the Italian theme, Victory Tap (1416 S. Michigan Avenue) is the place for traditional Chicago-style Italian cuisine. Their menu features fresh pastas, specialty pizzas, seafood, and prime steaks. Be sure to give Joe's Mama's Meatballs a try!

A bit farther south is another family-friendly spot. Weather Mark Tavern (1503 S. Michigan Avenue) is a casual, nautical-themed tavern and family restaurant serving delicious homemade meals (including seafood, burgers, salads, sandwiches, pizza and kids menu) with full bar and plenty of TV screens to watch the games.

For this tour, there will be no particular walking order. Mix and match the Museum Campus attractions to suit your tastes.
