The Nine Dragon Wall

Cermak (22nd Street) and Wentworth

On the northeast corner of Cermak and Wentworth (just to the west of the CTA Red Line stop), you'll find The Nine Dragon Wall. The Nine Dragon Wall is modeled after a wall located in BeiHai (North Sea) Park in Beijing. The nine large dragons, and 500+ smaller dragons, are painted in red, gold and blue, which signifies good fortune. In the Chinese culture, dragons are sacred, and the number 9 is believed to have magical powers. This wall is one of only three replicas outside of China.

After viewing the wall, use the designated crosswalks to reach Chinatown Gate which is just south on Wentworth.
