The FREE Maggie Daley Park is a family friendly recreation area which sits just east of Millennium Park. (If you're in Millennium Park, you can easily reach Maggie Daley Park via the BP Bridge.) The park is named after Maggie Daley, the late wife of former Chicago mayor Richard M. Daley. Maggie Daley worked tirelessly for the children of Chicago, and the park is a fitting tribute to her and her efforts.

The approximate 20 acre park has multiple children's play areas (designated by age of the child), climbing walls (warm weather), a unique, winding ice skating ribbon (a "must do" in the winter) which is used for roller skating in warmer weather, a fieldhouse, tennis courts, picnic groves, mini golf and a beautiful Cancer Survivors' Garden. If you have kids and want to burn-off a little energy, this is the place! The park is FREE, although there is a charge for mini golf, the climbing walls and renting skates. (It's free if you bring your own skates.) The park is open all year.

See our Millennium Park Self-Guided Walking Tour ("Tours" section) for more information.
