With the 264,000 square foot Modern Wing addition, the Art Institute of Chicago is now the second largest art museum in the United States. It's home to works from around the globe representing over 5,000 years of human artistic creation. You'll find everything from Egyptian, Oriental and Asian sculptures to one of the finest collections of impressionist art in the world. In addition to the Monet’s and Renoir’s (among others), you’ll find medieval art, renaissance art, the fine 17th century Dutch artists, classic American artists such as Andy Warhol and Edward Hopper and just about everything in between.
